The history of our school
The history of our school began in the autumn of 2013, when the parenting community of the Kisember Waldorf nursery felt the need and made a joint decision to try and establish a primary school, thus ensuring that our children continue to receive the teaching of the Waldorf pedagogy. As time went by more and more families joined the initiative including those from different nurseries, primary schools and several villages, and then we had finally found our qualified teachers responsible for the intellectual development of our children. A real community was born. A community which worked tirelessly with their heart and two hands to create their dream, and in September 2014, the first school day began in the Közép-budai (Central Buda) Waldorf School. We started our first school term with grade 1 and grade 2 classes and in 2015 a third class was formed. We are currently conducting hearings for potential pupils for next term’s first grade. What started as an idea of only eleven families only today is the common cause of 57 pupils and 11 teachers.
After the initial obstacle of founding and the every day problems of operating a school we now face our biggest challenge yet: we need to find a new and final home for our school. To enable our children to start their classes in September, along with our own efforts, we need your help too.
To sow seeds where we won’t harvest, to plant a tree which won’t yield its fruit for us is nothing but the faith, trust and belief invested in our children’s future.
We ask You to have this faith, trust and belief when we ask You to support Közép-budai Waldorf School.

Közé-budai Waldorf School thanks You with love and respect for Your help in our move to a new building.
Your house shall be not an anchor but a mast.
It shall not be a glistening film that covers a wound, but an eyelid that guards the eye.
You shall not fold your wings that you may pass through doors, nor bend your heads that they strike not against a ceiling, nor fear to breathe lest walls should crack and fall down.
You shall not dwell in tombs made by the dead for the living.
And though of magnificence and splendour, your house shall not hold your secret nor shelter your longing.
